What this connection does

Facebook-group posting uses a connected Facebook identity and its browser extension or eligible cloud phone. Each member connects their own profile. A group in the app is a publishing destination, not a new Facebook membership: adding it does not join the group or bypass its posting rules.

Before you start

  • For browser posting, use desktop Chrome with the extension installed and paired. Sign in to Facebook in that same Chrome profile.
  • For a cloud connection, finish sign-in on the phone.
  • Confirm the profile or Page that should post. Access to a group depends on that identity, not just on another workspace member's membership.
  • Additional personal profiles use the displayed profile allowance. Each profile needs its own signed-in browser/device; + Add profile provides the available connection choices.

Connect and discover your groups

  1. Open Connections and select the Facebook-group connection. For an existing connection, choose Manage, then Manage groups. If no active extension is found, Open extension opens the connection controls.
  2. Select the intended identity under Facebook profiles. Use Manage connection to check its extension or phone, rather than assuming another profile's connection serves it.
  3. If prompted with Choose your Facebook identities, select the person and/or Pages that should post, then Connect selected. See Pages and identities.
  4. Open Groups, then All groups. Your imported groups appear with group name, ID, approximate member count and status.
  5. Choose Sync now to refresh the selected profile's groups. Groups also update automatically. Cloud import can take a while; let it finish before assuming the list is empty.
  1. In group management, choose Add group.
  2. In Group link or ID, paste a Facebook group link or numeric ID. Group, post, permalink and group-share links are supported when the selected profile can access the group.
  3. Optionally fill Name (optional), up to 300 characters. This does not change the name on Facebook.
  4. Choose Add group and wait while the app resolves the group. The resolved group is added to the list; if lookup fails, correct the cause shown before trying again.

Not confirmed yet means the app has not seen the group in this profile's Facebook group list. It is not confirmation of membership or permission to post.

Find and organize groups

Use Search groups, Minimum members, Maximum members and the size/name sort controls to find groups. Member counts are Facebook's rounded, last-observed values, not a live exact census. Unknown sizes are shown as Unknown; a valid member-count bound excludes them. Bounds are inclusive, non-negative whole numbers. An invalid or reversed range is not applied until corrected. Clear filters clears the filters, not your selections.

  1. Open Folders, then Create folder.
  2. Enter Folder name, select groups belonging to this profile and choose Save.
  3. Use Folder actions for Rename, Edit groups or Delete folder. A group may belong to more than one folder.

Important: Folders stay linked to campaigns. Edits by anyone with access to the profile change future publishing destinations, not posts already prepared for sending. Deleting a folder stops future use of that folder; the groups and past publications remain.

In a campaign, select individual groups or linked folders. A direct group selection remains selected even when folder membership changes. Review the folder consent before approving publishing. A post can target up to 2,000 Facebook groups; filters do not reduce the number of selected targets just because some are hidden.

Remove or restore groups

In All groups, select the visible groups you intend to remove and use the removal action. Removing groups hides them and prevents publishing to them in the app; it does not leave them on Facebook. Open Removed groups and choose Restore to return a group to its folders and posts. Check the confirmation's selected group count before removing.

If something goes wrong

Symptom Cause and next step
No groups after connection Verify the selected Facebook identity, open its signed-in Facebook session, then Sync now. Cloud imports may still be running.
Group lookup unavailable Connect an updated extension or, where offered, a ready cloud profile for this identity.
Profile cannot access the group Check its Facebook sign-in and membership. Adding a link does not grant access.
Signed-in identity does not match Return Facebook to the linked identity, or manage the correct connection before retrying.
Profile is busy Wait for the current activity to finish, then retry lookup.
Held with the offline-extension explanation Reconnect the extension. The queued post goes out automatically; do not publish it again.
Needs verification or a message that the post may have landed Check the actual group before retrying, to avoid a duplicate. This is not proof of failure.
Waiting for group-admin approval Wait for the group administrator; repeated publishing is not the remedy.
