Contacts and CRM
What this area is for
Contacts brings together a person's details, deal stage, notes, tasks, communications and meetings. Open a row or card to work in the contact panel without leaving the list. Contacts and audience members are different: an audience is a list for reaching people together, not automatically a CRM record.
Find the people you need
- Open Contacts from the navigation. The heading shows the contact count for the current workspace.
- Use Search by name or phone to narrow the list.
- In a team workspace, choose All or Mine. Access permissions still apply; All does not bypass another person's privacy settings.
- Choose Needs attention to focus on contacts with signals such as Awaiting first reply, Upcoming task overdue, Idle or No upcoming task. The attention bar also reports pending requests and other relevant issues.
- Switch between Table and Kanban. On a phone, the table option presents contact cards. Kanban groups contacts by their configured stage; scroll sideways to see more stages.
- Open a contact to inspect its details and choose your next action.
In Nadlanite, Buyer and Seller filters and an Exclusivity ending filter also appear. Team attention can include Owner left the team; that filter is not the same as your ordinary personal list.
Work with the table
The table is grouped by stage, and stage groups can be collapsed. Click a sortable heading, such as Contact, Upcoming task or Last contact, to sort ascending; click again for descending and once more to clear the sort. Empty or hidden values stay at the end in either direction.
Scroll sideways when the table has more columns than fit on-screen. The contact column stays visible as you browse the other fields. Use controls inside a cell for their specific action; click the record itself to open the full contact panel. Workspace-configured custom columns can also appear, so two workspaces need not have identical tables.

Permissions and list actions
Viewers do not see New contact. Import and Export are available to workspace owners and admins. Export offers Excel file (.xlsx) and CSV file. Stage customization is also an owner/admin action; a team member's settings access can instead lead to privacy settings.
A contact can have different permissions for its card, deal, tasks, notes, communications and meetings. A visible record does not mean every section is editable. A frozen contact also restricts changes.
If something goes wrong
- No contacts yet: check the workspace and filters before adding or importing records.
- Could not load contacts: use Retry in the affected error message.
- A known contact is missing: clear the search and attention filters, then check All versus Mine and your access permissions.
- A stage appears as Stage private: deal-stage access is restricted; it is not an unnamed pipeline column.
