# Analytics, operational cards, and paid-ad results

Understand the current content-analytics unavailable state, the three live operational cards, and the optional paid-ad results, metrics, currencies, and attribution rules.

## What this area contains

This overview is the guide to the Analytics area: the current content view, the three operational cards, and the paid-ad section when enabled. Paid-ad creation and account management are covered in [Paid ads](https://docs.lead-knight.com/en/paid-ads/overview/).

> **Important:** The content view currently shows **Analytics unavailable** and **Performance data is unavailable.** There are no content-performance KPI cards, charts, top-post rankings, channel-performance tables, or content date-range controls here. Publishing content does not currently turn this view into a performance dashboard.

The operational cards below that message are real workspace information. They help you manage work; they do not measure reach, engagement, conversions, or content return on investment.

## What each operational card means

### Up next in the queue

**Up next in the queue** shows up to five upcoming card runs, soonest first, from active campaigns. Each row shows a post title, campaign, channel when known, and upcoming time in the workspace time zone.

- Only future next-run times on active or scheduled, non-held cards qualify. Draft, paused, held, finished, and already-past runs are not a list of upcoming work.
- A row is a card's next run, not every future occurrence of a repeating schedule. This is a short preview, not the full calendar.
- Select a row to open its campaign. **Open scheduled content** opens the weekly calendar.
- If some campaign boards fail to load, an error warns that the queue may be incomplete. Successfully loaded rows can remain visible alongside that warning. Use **Retry**; do not interpret a partial list as the entire schedule.

### Connected channels

**Connected channels** summarizes channel connection states. **Manage** opens Connections.

- The green indicator means **Connected**; the warning indicator means **Action needed**. Channels that are entirely unconnected are omitted from this strip.
- Official-channel states come from the connected accounts. Facebook groups use extension pairing and saved group destinations: a paired identity can appear connected, while saved groups without a paired identity require action.
- This is connection status, not audience size, performance, or a guarantee that a browser is currently online and able to complete every post. Open Connections to inspect an account that needs attention.

### Active campaigns

**Active campaigns** shows up to three active campaigns, ordered by their derived activity rather than by performance. Rows show the campaign name, board type when known, number of posts, channel icons, and active status.

Select a row to open the campaign; **View all** opens the full campaign list. The post count is the campaign's content count, not the number of successful publications, customers reached, or leads. An active campaign is not proof of successful delivery.

## Content and Paid ads tabs

When paid-ad capabilities are enabled for your workspace, Analytics shows the outer **Content** and **Paid ads** tabs. **Content** contains the unavailable performance state and the operational cards above. **Paid ads** opens a separate paid-ad management and reporting surface.

If you do not see **Paid ads**, it is not enabled for your workspace yet. A capability-loading error can also prevent the tabs from appearing; resolve the displayed error and use **Retry** before concluding that access is disabled. The content view does not gain performance charts or a date picker when paid ads are enabled.

## The four paid-ad sections

| Tab | What it contains |
| --- | --- |
| **Results** | A selectable reporting period, currency-specific metric totals, account spending and cap details, and campaign rows. |
| **Lead forms** | Forms for accessible accounts on platforms that support instant forms. Rows show **Name**, **Type**, **Leads**, **Made in**, and available **Actions**. Eligible forms created in LeadKnight can offer **Make a copy**, which starts a copy for a selected post in the ad editor. |
| **People & approvals** | Owned accounts and who may use them, plus **Pending approvals** you are permitted to decide. Only the account owner manages account sharing. |
| **Settings** | Workspace privacy-policy settings and per-account connection, account on/off, monthly cap, tracking, and conversion-sharing controls where supported and permitted. |

**Connect an ad account** opens Connections. Management actions depend on your workspace role, account ownership, account usability, platform capabilities, and the particular operation. A viewer or support-mode view is not a way to perform paid-ad mutations. Privacy-policy editing requires an owner or admin; account settings require the account owner and mutation access.

Turning **Account on** to **Account off** prevents new ads; it does not pause ads already running. Do not use that switch as an emergency stop for a live ad. See [Paid ads](https://docs.lead-knight.com/en/paid-ads/overview/) for the publishing and management workflow.

## Read paid results step by step

1. Select **Paid ads**, then **Results**. The starting range is the first day of the current month through today, initialized using the workspace time zone.
2. Set **From** and **To**. The start must be on or before the end. Results load for the selected range; **Retry** refreshes the results and related paid-account data. The dates include both boundary days.
3. Press **Choose metrics**, select between one and eight metrics, and press **Save**. The selection controls the currency-total cards, not the fixed columns in each campaign table. Preferences belong to your user in the current workspace. The initial defaults are **Spend**, **Leads**, **Cost per lead**, **Meetings**, **Cost per meeting**, and **ROAS**.
4. Read each **Totals · {currency}** card independently. The app groups accounts by currency; it does not convert currencies or show one mixed-currency money total.
5. Read each account card's account name and platform, **Spend this month**, **Monthly cap**, and **Last synced: {date}**. These monthly spending details are distinct from the selected reporting period. **No cap** means no monthly cap is configured, not zero spend.
6. Under **Running ads**, inspect **Ad / campaign**, **Status**, **Budget**, **Leads**, **Cost per lead**, and **Actions**. Despite the section heading, inspect each row's actual status; do not assume every listed campaign is live. The list includes ads created outside LeadKnight and marks those rows accordingly.
7. Use an available platform link or permitted row action only after checking the specific account and campaign. An unavailable budget or action can display as **—** or be absent; the screen does not invent a value or grant access.

## What the selectable metrics mean

All definitions below describe paid-ad results, not organic-content analytics.

| Metric | Meaning in this screen |
| --- | --- |
| **Spend** | Stored, synchronized platform campaign spend in the selected period and account currency. |
| **Leads** | Distinct, non-deleted CRM contacts with an attributed touchpoint for the relevant ad account or campaign during the selected period. This is not simply the platform's conversion number or a form's total submissions. |
| **Cost per lead** | Period spend divided by those attributed leads. Displays **—** when there are no leads. |
| **Meetings** | Attributed CRM contacts with at least one stage event whose meaning is a held meeting during the period. Counts contacts, not every meeting event, scheduled appointment, or CRM task. |
| **Cost per meeting** | Period spend divided by the held-meeting contact count. Displays **—** when that count is zero. |
| **Won** | Attributed CRM contacts with at least one won-stage event during the period. This is event history, not merely the contact's current stage. |
| **Revenue** | Stored deal values for attributed contacts with a won-stage event in the period, including only deal values matching the account currency. It is not a payments-received or invoice report. |
| **ROAS** | Attributed revenue divided by spend, shown as a multiplier. It is not profit. An individual account or campaign result can be unavailable when spend is zero or currency consistency cannot be established. |
| **Impressions** | The impression count synchronized from the advertising platform for the period; it is not a count of unique people. |
| **Clicks** | The click count synchronized from the advertising platform for the period. |
| **CTR** | Clicks divided by impressions, multiplied by 100. Displays **—** when impressions are zero. |
| **Cost per click** | Spend divided by clicks. Displays **—** when clicks are zero. |
| **Platform conversions** | The platform-reported conversion value synchronized for the period. It may be fractional or unavailable, and is separate from CRM leads, meetings, and wins. |

Monetary costs are rounded in the account currency's smallest unit before display. **—** means the value is not available or cannot be calculated; it is not interchangeable with a reported zero.

## Attribution, dates, and currency cautions

- CRM outcomes require an attributed touchpoint linked to the relevant ad account, and to the campaign when reading a campaign row. Merely having a CRM contact or a generic source label does not establish paid-ad attribution.
- Leads are counted by qualifying touchpoints during the period. Meetings and wins are counted by their stage-event dates; they can belong to leads acquired before the period. This is not a single acquisition-cohort conversion funnel.
- CRM event-day boundaries use the ad account's time zone. The initial date-picker range uses the workspace time zone, and platform spend uses synchronized daily records. Check time zones when comparing with an external report.
- The account-level CRM counts deduplicate a contact attributed to several campaigns in that account. Adding campaign-row lead counts can therefore differ from the account count. Currency totals sum account results and are not a cross-account unique-person count.
- Currency-total cards sum like-currency amounts and counts, then recompute costs, CTR, and ROAS from their numerators and denominators. They do not add individual ratios. Different currencies remain separate; there is no exchange-rate conversion or meaningful mixed-currency sum.
- Revenue excludes deal values in a different currency from the account. Interpret a currency-total ROAS as the ratio of the included currency-matched amounts, not all business revenue. A total is not proof that every underlying account's attribution is complete.
- Platform conversions may be attributed differently from CRM outcomes. A currency total shows platform conversions only when every included account supplies that value.
- **Last synced: {date}** is a freshness indicator. Platforms can report spend with a delay of up to a few hours, so the monthly cap may be crossed slightly. Neither the cap nor a recently displayed status guarantees an instantaneous spending stop.

## If something goes wrong

| Symptom | Meaning and next step |
| --- | --- |
| **Analytics unavailable** in Content | This is the current content-performance state, not an instruction to create more posts to unlock charts. Use the operational cards and calendar for workflow information. |
| The upcoming queue has no rows | Check whether active campaigns have future, non-held active or scheduled cards. Open the calendar and campaign board; this preview is not the whole publishing history. |
| A queue warning appears with some rows | One or more boards failed to load. Use **Retry** and treat the current queue as partial. |
| **No visible ad accounts** | Connect your own account or ask its owner to share access. Account visibility is not the same as workspace membership. |
| A date-range error appears | Enter valid **From** and **To** dates with the start no later than the end. |
| **Choose metrics** is disabled or saving fails | Preferences must load first; support mode cannot change them. Use the shown **Retry** or reopen the picker after correcting the error. Keep between one and eight choices. |
| Leads or revenue look lower than the platform | Check attribution, CRM stage events, selected dates, account time zone, matching deal currency, and synchronization. Platform conversions are a different measure. |
| A result is **—** | Check for a zero denominator, unreported platform data, unavailable budget, or currency mismatch; do not replace it with a guessed number. |
| Forms, approvals, or controls are missing | Check platform support, account ownership and sharing, workspace role, and connection status. Only permitted items and actions are shown. |
